THE KEY IDEA

A useful account review connects features with the conditions and costs that apply to them.

01

Define the markets you need

List the instruments and market categories you want to research. Then find the current product information for the account in question. Read the product mechanics and risks separately from the list of available markets. Market access alone does not establish suitability.

02

Record account options precisely

Find the published account types, account currencies and platform access options. Keep each option with the terms that apply to it. Leave minimum funding, leverage and other numerical conditions unreported when current supporting documents are unavailable.

03

Bring the charges together

Read the complete fee schedule rather than one headline spread. Record which charges depend on account type, instrument, transaction size or holding period. Keep currency-conversion and withdrawal conditions in the same file so that a later review uses consistent assumptions.

04

Review access and support

Locate funding instructions, withdrawal procedures, available support channels and their stated hours. Save the document version and access date. Ask for written clarification where a requirement is unclear, and keep unanswered questions visible.
